One last post on my epic Portland adventure, then it’s back to business as usual at ye ‘ol SF beer blog. Luckily, this last one is a great one. For our last brunch in Portland, we headed over to Screen Door. I was forewarned that I would be getting the chicken and waffles. They were right.

One of my favorite parts of living in San Francisco is the wholesale endorsement of Dim Sum as the meal for all occasions. In this case, we were lead by a particular mystery chef out to the Outer Sunset to S&T Seafood in the Sunset for chicken feet and other brunch treats.

Some of my favorite meals are born out of leftovers. There is just something so wonderful about taking extra food from a previous meal, investing a little effort and coming out with something entirely new. This is especially true for brunch. A few weeks ago I was given a copy of Kenny Shopsin’s new cookbook, which is an adventure just to read, much less cook out of.
