Bistro Barrel Aged Festival

Great times as usual at The Bistro‘s Barrel Aged Festival for 2009.  Favorite from the day were Lagunitas’ Crusin’ with Ruben & the Bretts on Cherries, Scotch Ale aged in a scotch barrel from Sierra Nevada, and Fifty Fifty’s Imperial Eclipse Stout 2008 on Pappy Van Winkle Bourbon Barrel.

For more tasting notes, be sure to check out Jay’s coverage of the days events.

It was nice meeting you finally at the festival. I have to say my favorite from the festival was the Drake’s George Brett sour. I have been getting into sour’s more and more lately and this one hit the spot.

Great festival. My vote went to the Schooners Old Woody, although there were a ton of great beers that I might have picked on a different day. Did they ever announce the voting results?
