The beers and a few recommended pairings below:

Shmaltz Brews

All of the beers will be available by the bottle, small pours, and small pour flights. All profits from beer sales to Dolores Street Community Services, which “provides neighborhood-based shelter, housing, advocacy and support for working-poor men and formerly homeless people with AIDS seeking dignity, health and hope in San Francisco’s Mission and Castro districts.”

We’ll be on-hand talking about the beer and pouring the beer. Elianna will be in back frying up latkes. Be sure to say hello!

HE’BREW Messiah Bold – 5.6% alc.
A deep, bold nut brown ale beautifully balanced with rich, dark malts and a complex hop character, converging to reveal a simply enchanting elixir.
Recommended Pairings: Olives, PB&J, Dumpling Soup, Brisket

HE’BREW Origin Pomegranate Strong Ale – 8% alc.
An imperial amber ale brewed with luscious pomegranate juice.  A sweet malt aroma leads into a slightly bitter finish.  Added during fermentation, the residual sugars from the pomegranate lend a unique balance to this delicious brew.
Recommended Pairings: Scallops, Dumpling Soup, Mushroom Salad, PB&J, Grilled Cheese, Funnel Cake, Ice Creams
(Lets be honest – it’ll pretty much go with anything on the menu)

HE’BREW Bittersweet Lenny’s R.I.P.A – 10% alc.
Brewed to commemorate the death of standup comic and social critic, Lenny Bruce, Bittersweet Lenny’s R.I.P.A packs a punch.  The 20% rye malt contributes an earthiness and a spiciness not usually found in double IPAs.  A strong hop bitterness is balanced out by an equally formidable malt presence.
Recommended Pairings: Olives, Mushroom Salad, Grilled Cheese, Ice Creams

Coney Island Lager – 5.5% alc.
Step right up and witness the delectable alchemy of 8 malts, 6 hops, and Czech Pilsner yeast.  Discover the thrill of old world brewing conjoined with beguiling new world flavor.
Recommended Pairings: Olives, Scallops, Brisket, Sausage, Funnel Cake
